New box decisions

I've got KODI running on a few setups - I'm now looking at getting ANOTHER box!! LOL!

Thinking future proofing is the way to go - so whilst the opportunity presents itself - i'm currently looking at either a:

Minix X8-H Plus

or a

MyGica ATV1810

Or potentially a Pipo X7

Does anyone have any of these boxes and any thoughts on the above??
Apple iMac 27" Mid 2010 Model (3.2 GHZ Intel i3 / 12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 / ATi HD 5670) = running XBMC Frodo RC2
HiMedia Q5 Android TV Box/media streamer = running non-neon XBMC Frodo RC2
ASUS Padfone 2 (64GB with Padstation) = running XBMC Frodo RC2

The MyGica ATV 1810 proved a rare beast to track down.. I even had one joker telling me the 1800E was the same but different market version!!! HuhRofl

I was offered a great price on the Pipo X7 but ended up getting the Minix Neo X8-H Plus in the end.. Also got offered a very good price for the top spec ASUS Chromebox.... So can see myself adding that or the Pipo to the collection before I come home as well!

Thanks for all the input and replies! Lol Wink Smile

OpenElec on my Pi2 is outperforming Kodi under Windows on my Pipo X7 (still haven't got round to fitting a heatsink to the Pipo)

Under Ubuntu the Pipo X7 performs much better in video terms (though still throttles) but has no audio over HDMI...

Obviously the X7 gives you Netflix, Amazon video, Windows and a year of Office 365 so it has huge advantages in other ways. But the Pi 2 is definitely doing a better job for me in core Kodi terms.

The Chromebox, of course, outperforms both of them in OpenElec. HD Audio, high quality HD deinterlacing... It just works.

Thanks for the reply!! What is the best setup for the Chromebox?? Ditching the chrome OS and installing a different OS?
