Well I just did a fresh install of Kodibuntu. I then followed the wiki guide to updating the nvidia driver which requires the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current nvidia-settings

After executing the commands, the response is that no packages are upgraded because nvidia is current. I check nvidia in Lubuntu and it shows Nvidia 304 installed. The ubuntu repos have 331.

So my question is: Does kodibuntu only officially support nvidia 304 and not 331?

Thanks, I can install nvidia 331 but it doesn't play nice with live tv on my system. In fact the whole pc freezes and, if I can get to a terminal, it shows a dvb error. I suspect it is a combination of nv331, my dvb card, and a known bug preventing installation of linux-firmware non-free. I have reverted to nv 304.
