I wanted to ask this though I'm pretty sure the answer is 'yes'. Kodi has a BUFFER, right? I don't mean that big buffer you can set in advancesettings.xml, but a basic ammount of data from the storage medium, be they local drives, flash memory, optical, or network shares, is buffered and stored before decoding in FFMPEG, right? Like enough that any concerns from packets needing to be resent or a momentary blip of lag from the switch cause no issue, that would render any concerns about the 'quality' of the data getting to the program being irrelevant unless you suffer major issues accessing your storage medium?
