As title say, what is the use of default.xml ? I don't find references in the kodi skinning manual.

kodi allows you to define default values for each control type,
so you only have to specify them once instead of each time you use that control in your skin.

those <default> definitions should be placed in includes.xml:

what most skins do is put all <default> definitions in a separate file instead
(defaults.xml, but can be any filename) and include this file in includes.xml.
