Fire TV Video Crashes (Solved)
#1
Hello All. I have been using xbmc for a while now. I am using Helix 14.1 on 2 fire tvs. My "NAS" is a WD Mycloud.

My problems started this am when I was attempting to mount the nas to my new raspberry pi 2. While I was fooling around on the pi, videos started crashing in the other room on the fire tv. (My son was watching).

Did I change anything? Yes.

One thing I did to mount the pi was to make the NAS a static IP.

My first thought was that the Pi was pinging the NAS too much. turned pi off. Still nada.

Changed back to dynamic IP on NAS. Still crashing back to home screen.

Updated firmware. Still crashing.

I can replicate this on another FIre TV.

So, it must be a server issue, right? I have rebooted, turned off all extra functions (dlna server, twonky, etc), and updated. Still, it must be the server right??

Well, an OSMC video has been playing for 30 minutes in my PI without crashing. WhatHuhHuh? Confused

Anyway, looking for help. Maybe someone can at least tell me I am looking in the right direction.

Here be the logs.

Edit: Sigh. Sum Fatuus. Confused I rebooted the fire tv and all is well. I will go hide somewhere now.
