Win Unable to play any audio files
#1
Been using Kodi for a couple of years and been very happy with it.

I've now got a problem where I am unable to play back any audio file using Kodi. Movies etc work fine.

Using VLC I am able to play back the files with no issue. It looks to happen across all files - whether WMA or MP3.

I am also unable to play audio back via AirPlay.

All my media (videos & music) is stored on an SMB network share. Again videos play back fine.

I don't know when this problem started, but I have recently moved from the SQLite to a MySQL database.

My (debug) log can be found here - http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=426621

It looks like it'd expired.

I made a new one using 14.2 Beta 1.

From the event log I can see that you are trying to play "musicdb://albums/939/5085.wma"
Can you play the file using the exact same path in VLC?
I think all righthtinking people in this country are sick and tired of being told that ordinary, decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired.

I haven't tried the "musicdb" path, but I tried finding the file over the network using Kodi (rather than picking it from the library), and it wouldn't play.

I then took the path from the log (in the format SMB:\\JakgNAS\whatever), reversed all the slashes and put it in VLC and it played fine. So the path looks good, and I have the codecs to play it on the system somewhere.[/php]

I've just added a Pi running OpenELEC to my setup and it can play audio / video using the same MySQL database without issue which suggests something specific to my PC / Kodi rather than the network path or database.

I've now added another Windows PC using the same database and I do have this problem - so Windows isn't handling my path properly. Ideas?
