Kodi looses audio device when TV is turned off for some time
#1
I'm running into this issue on one my kodi boxes, where it seems to loose its audio device when the TV has been turned off for some time. A quick restart of the TV doesn't seem to trigger it but turning it off for a few hours and coming back will leave Kodi with no audio. In the settings menu the audio output device is grayed out. When you restart the machine all will be fine, until your turn the TV off for a while. I've looked at the logs and having been able to find anything, though I'm not really sure what to look for. None of my other Kodi machines have this issue, I'm not sure if it's Kodi or if its something that the TV does when it turns off.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, CFarence

Extract the edid of the TV - the PC will think the TV is always connected.

I think I found how to extract the edid, where would I have to put it once I get it?

Depends on what brand GPU you have.

Has anyone had any luck getting the EDID for the cubox-i4pro?

I have found tools for AMD and Intel, but it uses the GC2000 GPU, so I'm not sure where to start.
