Playlist playing different file types
#1
Hi All

I have a Raspberry Pi2 running OSMC Alpha 4 (0.0.4) Which is running KODI

I have managed to set it up so that when the Pi will automatically start up and play a playlist and then repeat that playlist.

Everything worked great when the playlist consisted of the same file type, However, if the playlist has different filetypes (shown below), it will only play the first file and then repeat it rather than going to the next file.

/home/osmc/Video/1.mp4
/home/osmc/Video/2.mov
/home/osmc/Video/3.wmv
/home/osmc/Video/4.mov
/home/osmc/Video/5.wmv
/home/osmc/Video/6.mov
/home/osmc/Video/7.mp4
/home/osmc/Video/8.mov
/home/osmc/Video/9.wmv

If I had 2 x mp4 and then a mov, it would play both the mp4's and then repeat them instead of going to the .mov

Is this something that should work, or are multiple file formats not supported in the same playlist?

Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know if this is actually possible to do? Can anyone play a mixed format playlist?

Has nobody ever tried this before?

You might be better off asking that question in the OSMC forum. It seems to work fine in openelec (which is probably what most people here use), so my guess would be that it is OSMC related.
