Keyboard keypress not working!
#1
Hi guys,

This is my setup:

-i have a laptop as a homeserver (HP 530), with windows 8 on it.
-i have an installed Kodi v14.1
-i have a wireless keyboard: Logitech K400
-i have connected my homeserver via a HDMI cable to the TV.

Now all works okay. But the only thing that annoys me is this:

-Only the mousepad of my K400 wireless keyboard works! The keys don't work...

What did i already do to solve this:
-I tested the same setup on my Rasp Pi B+, with v13.2 Gotham on it, and there the K400 keyboard works flawlessly!
-So i downgraded my windows version to v13.2, but no luck.. there.
-The normal keyboard on laptop also not working...?

Does anyone know why my wireless kb doesn't work with my windows setup? Sad
And is there something i have to change maybe in the keyboard.xml file to get this windows setup working with my K400?

Thanks for all the tips/help guys. Hope someone has a way out of this for me!

I use the K400 on all my HTPCs - it's a great and cheap piece of hardware.

Anyway, so you're saying that BOTH your laptop keyboard & K400 are not working on Kodi 14.x? That sounds like an issue with your Input Settings in Settings -> System -> Inputs. Have you looked there? Can you take a screen shot?
Please read the online manual (wiki) & FAQ (wiki) before posting.

Thanks for your help Piers...

Yep! both kb's not working in KODI and Gotham on my w8 system... Sad
K400 used to work great on my rasp pi with Openelec and Gotham XBMC.
But KODI won't do this now.. or my system is 'fekked' up?

(You mean the Enable mouse & touch screen support option and the Enable joystick and gamepad option, right?)
Tried them all.. in all possible combinations... no luck Sad

Do you have the same setup as mine? (Also a KODI installed in windows with a K400 keyboard?)
Because if that's the same, and yours work... Then i know for sure it is my windows system... i think.. Sad

i had some corrupted drivers?? Don't know why, but after a clean install of my system, all is okay now! Smile
Whoehoooo!!! thanks all for the help!
But it was not Kodi which gave this error!

So for the ones need a wireless keyboard:
The logitech K400 kb is working very nice with Kodi 14.1 on a clean W8 system Wink ...
