No 5.1 DTS/DSP/Dolby Digital via HDMI SPDIF extractor

Question
Hallo first Big Grin

I´m still new to all that stuff so forgive me if I ask dumb questions.

I have a 5.1 Reciever (Kenwood krf-V5050d) which supports DTS, Dolby Digital (AC3) and DSP but it has no HDMI input.
So I bought a SPDIF extractor (this one: http://www.conrad.de/ce/de/product/10898...archDetail). But when I play a Video at 5.1 AC3 or 5.1 DTS and set 5.1 in system settings, it sounds like I have no center-channel.

The Reciever does not switch into Dolby Digital-Mode if I choose AC3 but when I connect it to my Windows PC via SPDIF it does.

Can anyone explan this and help me?

Don't set output to 5.1. SPDIF uses 2 channels for it's transport when using passthrough. The receiver will decode it to 5.1.

Make sure settings are set to expert, and passthrough is enabled, with "DTS capable receiver" and "AC3 capable receiver" also selected.
