Linux Kodi and dual audio problem - Solved (well - sort of)

Your pactl only knows about exactly one sound device, which is your HDMI output, no audio idea how dual output should work there. Here, see mine: http://paste.ubuntu.com/10552960/
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Well - thank you for trying!

Any idea of where I should start?

Cheers

You could ask in ubuntu channel on how to "manually configure" pulseaudio to add your other devices.

Please post the output of: aplay -l first.

Problem fixed!

I was fiddling with the network USB dongle on my Sharp Aquos last night, and found a analogue audio input labelled HDMI2, next to the antenna connector.

This input is not placed even close to the HDMI connectors - so I have missed it :-(

But - note to myself - RTFM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fritch - thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
