#1
I really want a kodi system that updates files from my macs external hard drive over wifi automatically. can this be done through time machine?
Im using a raspberry pi now, connecting with ftp but its really slow.
would atv2 be better or should i get something else?

Unfortunately I don't entirely understand what you mean by this. Maybe you could be a bit more precise to describing what it is you want exactly?. Do you want kodi to automatically scrape the files on your Macs external drive and add them to it's library via network? Do you want the files on your Mac to be automatically transferred to another drive attached to your Pi? And what does time machine have to do with it?

As to using ftp, try using nfs shares to share data between your mac and the pi. There is a guide on the wiki about that.

This thread would probably better placed in the general support section, rather than the hardware one
