Recently is was looking for a way to have preview images from LiveTV EPG data but i found out that my current provider doesn't supply them and i needed to look for a different solution.

Then I checked logging for some other reason and saw a bunch of errors as listed below. I didn't changed anything and also unsure how they get there or what causes this.
There is definitely something wrong because if it's from official TVHeadend addon from Kodi repo it's not using the supplied username/password, instead it just connects like seen in log with USERNAMEASSWORD
Any suggestions?

I'm running Latest OpenELEC 5.0.3/4 on several systems with latest TVHeadend as backend and official TVH addon fro Kodi repo.

Sorry to bump this old topic, but I'm having very similar curl timeouts errors, also getting picons from tvheadend (/imagecache/xxx), I did post about my problem at: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=286291

Did you ever found a solution/workaround for this? Also did you really get no images at all? or if you wait long time you end getting them (very slow)?
