I'm a longtime xbmc user, in all my years of use one of the functions I have come to take for granted is digital audio out. it always worked as long as I was cabled correctly. Today I have no longer say that. As of two days ago my system worked fine, hdmi out to tv for video signal and an optical audio cable to my Yamaha AVR. As of this morning I cannot get XBMC to output to the AVR when passthrough is enabled via optical audio or hdmi audio... log file below....

Check your audio settings. It looks like you are using DirectSound. Try changing it to WASAPI and double-checking your XBMC audio output settings.
