Since I've upgraded to Helix, I experience some strange issues:
When I'm watching a film or a TV show, sometimes the video stops, while the sound continues.
When I then press the left arrow (backwards 30 sec), the video start playing again from 30 sec back as of nothing was happen.

Any idea?

I have the same problem, but only when I press "pause". I only have to rewind for 1sec... I have an ott m8 4k box....

Same here, happened a couple of times so far, after about 30 mins, sound continued with blank picture, stopping and starting did the same, had to exit and start Kodi again.

I wonder if this is one of those funky amlogic permissions issues, but I'm not sure, as I don't think they typically happen in the middle of a video (maybe?).

I don't know. With Gotham it was never happening. Same HW, same DB. Today, with Helix it happens several (3-4) times during the 50 minutes of a TV show.
It is really annoying.
