Hello,

just installed OpenELEC 5.0.5. After adding repos, configuring stuff I'd like to do the same things on my son's windows box. Can I backup kodi settings using the add on ( http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:XBMC_Backup ) and then restore them on the windows kodi?

I just copied the userdata folder from openelec to my windows kodi home directory (overwriting the one that was created during install) and everything is there. Just make sure to use the same versions of kodi.

I tried to use the Kodi backup tool and failed miserably

I will try to copy only the userdata folder.

You might also want to copy the addons folder rather than re-download all of your addons.
