What is now my best option for my Sony TV
#1
Hi all, I have used for the past years my apple TV 1st generation with xbmc then Kodi. I've heard that apple TVs are not getting supported any longer. Therefore i was wondering what would be the best option for me going forward. I have a sony TV, a computer and a NAS. I liked having kodi on the apple TV reading directly my movies from the NAS, as i mainly used it to watch movies and add subtitles to the movies with the scrappers. I am lost between plex, rasperry, amazon TV.....Also i have a chromecast, would it be any useful?

Kodi officially does no longer support the ATV1 with Broadcom CHD acceleration......

Unofficially Kodi 14.1 runs very well on Crystalbuntu2.0 with CHD support coded back in.
Speed wise its faster than my RPi 2 Smile
Its still a very capable pure Kodi media box.

OSMC / Kodi will be appearing shortly too that will also support the ATV1 into the future.

Kodi 14.1 installation instructions here:
