Hi,
Most skins have a 'menu bar' in the bottom of the screen, with a progress bar and buttons etc. When you press Enter, that menu pops up. The video continues to play, and the menu bar blocks the subtitles (which obviously are also somewhere in the bottom).
Like in Android's MX.Player:
When the menu is visible, the subtitles are placed above the menu, so you can still watch the video including subtitles.
This could also be used for the Info Screen which most skins also project on the bottom side.
I hope I explained what I mean. Maybe this should be implemented in each skin individually, but I guess it's more useful as a Kodi-wide feature.
