Anyone know if an XBOX One media remote will work for FTV + Kodi?

I've been looking for a simple, clean remote that would operate FTV/Kodi and have volume control for the TV.

It is IR, so I know I would have to add a USB/IR dongle to the FTV, but would it work? I'm unsure if it is proprietary to the XBOX One equipment.

After further research, it appears not. One user reports using it as an HTPC remote, but that requires running EventGhost on the HTPC.

Still it's tempting... I wonder if a FLIRC dongle would make it go?

Oh wait... I hope that means there is a way for it to do the volume on the TV (and not simply vol inside Kodi). I can see how FLIRC would solve issuing the right command to the FTV box, but unclear on TV volume. Hmmmm...

Sorrry mate I was just commenting on the fact that it works for flirc, the TV volume thing i don't know about.
