Does anyone use a micro usb y cable to power the pi? I have the pi2 running of the usb port of my tv and it's running fine but I've had sd card corruption and was forced to move storage to a usb key and I think the pi might not be getting enough power.
I don't want to run it from a wall outlet because I turn it off once I'm finished using it (this way the server goes to sleep). My tv has 3 usb ports so using two to power the pi is not an issue.
Was thinking of getting the below. But worried it may provide to much power?
