OS X Cache issues - LAN streaming
#1
Hi everyone,

First of all i would like to apologize for my terrible english but i know that if i want a quality answer i have to ask my questions here.

Context :
  • Intel NUC DN2820FYKH / OS : OpenElec. Connection with router : Ethernet
  • Macbook pro 2014 / OS : Yosemite. Connection with router : WIFI

I want to stream with my macbook pro a video wich is on my NUC so for that i have download kodi on my macbook pro and add my NUC as source using SMB protocol.

But i have an issue with the cache. Indeed when i'm starting playing a video the cache size stay blocked at 0 even when i'm in pause there is juste the percentage who is increasing when i'm pausing and decrease when i'm playing and every 2 minutes he comes to 0% so i have to wait buffering.

So i've tried a lot of modification in the files advancedsettings.xml like these one :
Quote:<advancedsettings>
  <network>
        <autodetectpingtime>30</autodetectpingtime>
        <buffermode>1</buffermode>
        <cachemembuffersize>708669603</cachemembuffersize>
        <curllowspeedtime>5</curllowspeedtime>
        <curlclienttimeout>30</curlclienttimeout>
        <readbufferfactor>4.0</readbufferfactor>
</network>
</advancedsettings>

But impossible to make my video cache working ... staying always at 0 ... If anyone could help me i'll appreciate a lot i'm searching a solution but impossible to find.

Thanks in advance

Regards,
vDMG

Can you post a debug log (wiki) of when you are playing a video?
