Because Kodi has guaranteed fontconfig. But by github not found.

it's common for all ports not using system libraries (except windows).

2.8.0 is very very old. The new 2015 version have manny bug fixes. Please add !!! Smile

Don't change what ain't broken - thats why i need reason. (its not just bumping a package for ios - its bumping a package for all our platforms and this normally comes with regressions someone needs to track down afterwards - at least i don't do this kind of stuff just for fun...)
