New to Kodi, and I am using StarStream X4. When streaming some movies, the pictures donot show but sound is fine. Is there a setting that needs to be changed?

sounds similar issue to what a lot of boxee users experience.
try the cursor back button as soon as you notice the video has not started yet. this should jump you back to the beginning of the stream, and by then the video stream usually catches up and starts as expected.
