OpenELEC on Pi 2 B ??

Just been given the Rasp Pi 2 B+
But for the life of me I cant get OpenElec to work
I can get Raspbian and the rest of them to work but not that one

Anyone solve this?

Did you download the right image for the pi 2 ?

There is a "Raspberry Pi 2 Model B" and a "Raspberry Pi Model B+".
There is no "Raspberry Pi 2 Model B+". Confirm which board it is and make you download the correct Pi1 or Pi2 image.

On the Box it says Rasp Pi 2 Model B 1gb Ram on the box

Tried 2 of the images and nothing

Used SD Formatter and Win32 Image to write file everytime its ok with Raspbian and Noobs but not when installing openelec

Did you extract the image before writing it to the sd card? I.e. did the image files name end in .img and not .img.gz?

download the RPI2 Diskimage (ARMv7 builds - RPi2 ARMv7 quad core models (Model B 1024MB)) from here

Image

then goto the wiki here

and follow the step by step guide for your OS you're using for installing on the SDCard

you say it doesn't work what error are you getting ?

Yep - you need to download the disk image and use a disk imaging app to write it to your SD card. I am on a Mac and use dd from the command line and OE has been running fine on my Pi 2s since early Feb (I got mine on the Tuesday after launch!)
