Hi all,
Problem: If Kodi is trying to scan a file in the library that is on a media source (network computer) that is turned off, it reports in the kodi.log that the file is inaccessible. After this, Kodi just starts scanning the next file on the turned off device. Again it reports that the file is inaccessible. This process will repeat and take a lot of time.
Fix: Kodi should skip scanning all files on a media source that doesn't reply a ping.
It would be a bonus if Kodi could grey out offline files/videos when browsing the library.
It is not really a bug as this is probably behaving as expected. Should I still create a bug report?
Kind regards,
Cor
