I am running Kodibuntu on Haswell i3 NUC, for which I bought the Pulse-Eight USB - CEC Adapter.
This gives me CEC with one problem: when I switch the box off and then on again, there is no signal to the TV; one has to do a full power down and up to get picture back - this seems to be a known problem, according to this post on Intel forums.
The only solution I found is to enable the "Deep S4/S5" option in the "Power" menu of the BIOS, i.e., telling the NUC to use a deeper shutdown state - the down side is that in this state, the NUC does not wake on the IR - which is an absolute requirement.
Is there some other workaround?
For now, I have given up on CEC, as I see the wake-on-IR to be a much more important feature...
