v14 Video Stuttering and Audio Desync While Streaming
#1
Greetings,

I recently bought a Pi 2 and loaded the latest Kodi release onto it (14.2). When I stream 720p videos to it, they stutter and the audio/video gets out of sync. This doesn't happen on my Pi 1, streaming the same videos. That Pi is on an older XBMC release.

So I'm assuming this has something to do with Kodi 14.2. Has anyone experienced this before? Any advice on how to resolve it?

I tried this:

You can test by downloading:
https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/...tart_x.elf
https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/...ixup_x.dat

and replace start.elf and fixup.dat (renaming from start_x.elf and fixup_x.dat) on the boot partition of sdcard.

Or try with next (probably not tonight's) Milhouse build.

From here. But the stuttering and desync still happens. Sad

If these files are VC1 or mpeg2 you will need to buy another set of Licences like you did for the RPi1.

I downgraded to OpenElec 5.0.5 recently due to Live TV audio syncing issues. I suggest you try the same:

tar file for the SD Card Update folder here:

A debug log (wiki)] may help.

Here's the log: http://xbmclogs.com/pjgzll9zo

I let it play for about three minutes and it got out of sync. I hit the fast-forward button, which synced everything back up, then let it run ten seconds longer, and then stopped the video.

wrxtasy, I'll definitely downgrade if I have to. Thanks for the link.

You will need an MPEG-2 codec licence:
Code:
