Fails to resume after suspend
#1
Hi,

After resume on Ubuntu 14.04.2, Kodi just displays a spinning Working window in the lower right corner. It goes on forever and the window does not react to any key presses or mouse clicks. To exit I have to do a brutal kill -9. The system can freeze and crash.

The command pm-suspend works but on resume, it freezes a bit (10 seconds), but at least it works.

On kodibuntu, it's the same as pm-suspend, it freezes too but finally works.

In fact, it seems to be related with my LSI megaraid card. If I umount and rmmod megaraid_sas before suspend, kodi doesn't freeze the system. I'm trying to use pm-utils, whitout result.Undecided

I didn't succeed Sad

Unmount in the /etc/pm/sleep.d/99custom doesn't work very well.

Resume is long because OS is waiting for the FW. Kodi is not patient.

-> https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/ not kodi related, please file it in the ubuntu bugtracker.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Kodi definitively freeze (Ubuntu+raid card). It's not the raid card which freezes ubuntu. Without kodi, it works well adding 10seconds during resume.

I will kill Kodi before suspend now... so I will be sure, it doesn't crash my system, but.... I don't know what happened with the /dev or the internal automount of kodi. The device is no ready when it wakes up = freeze.

Sorry for my english Confused
