Req Live TV - Remember last channel in EPG
#1
Kodi already has an option under "Playback" called "Continue last channel on startup." To me, this option is useless because I use Kodi for more than just Live TV and do not want it to tune to a channel every time I wake up my HTPC from sleep.

Instead, I request a new option be added under "EPG" called "Remember last channel in EPG." This option will remember the last channel you had selected upon returning to the EPG. This would be retained between Kodi sessions, so that every time you enter the EPG, the last channel you were on will be preselected.

So, for example, I'm watching channel 1265. I close Kodi and put my HTPC to sleep. The next time I turn my HTPC on and Kodi starts, I press the "Guide" or "EPG" button. The EPG loads, preselected on 1265 instead of being at the very top of the list (Channel 3 in my case).

Most of the channels I watch are in the 1000+ range, but I do not want to remove the lower channels from showing up. It's very annoying to have to hit the Guide button, then type 1000 + Enter every single time I restart Kodi.

Seems like something like this should be an easy addition to the codebase.

Thank you!

There are a few threads discussing usability related functions and best behavior for default setting in the PVR development forum that you might want to checkout

http://forum.kodi.tv/forumdisplay.php?fid=136

At least today most enhancement ideas regarding PVR improvements to be discuss there and not in the feature suggestion forum, and especially those in regards to improving usability and functionality accessible from inside Kodi's GUI.

Your post/thread probably belong in PVR development forum? But don't say something is "useless" nor suggest that anything "should be an easy addition" unless you plan on code and contribute yourself.
