I downloaded Kodi 14.2 (first time using Kodi) and I've spent some time setting it up. The only problem I've found so far is that it seems to be stretching most of my videos wrong. Most videos will be stretched both vertically and horizontally till they fill the screen instead of just horizontally, as is the case with most widescreen videos.
I am using a 1440*900 resolution monitor to set it up, so as most videos are 16:9 and this is a 16:10 monitor, I should be getting at least some black bars at the top and bottom. I tried changing the View Mode but it still showing incorrectly and I don't really want to manually set the pixel ratio for every video.
There you can see that even as view mode is set as "Original Size" the image is still stretched from 1280*720 to 1280*800.
FIXED EDIT: I've fixed it. Under System -> Settings -> Video -> Playback -> "Allowed error in aspect ratio to minimise black bars" was set to 20% instead of none. There is a typo in "minimise" btw, should be "minimize"
