Win How to display tracknumbers with 4 or more digits?
#1
Dear all,

I'm not sure if my question is specific to Kodi or if it is a Twonky Server issue and since I have absolutely no clue I apologize for possibly posting in the wrong forum. I already have been searching the forum and been trying several modifications to Kodi as well as to the Twonky "view-definitons.xml" file but so far without success.

I have all my music files on a QNAP TS219P+ NAS with Twonky Server 8.0.2 and I am using UPNP to stream to Kodi on Windows 7. The problem is that all my music files are tagged with a 4 digit tracknumber but Kodi only displays 3 digits. Even worse these 3 digits are not simply truncated but somehow weired. E.g. a track with tagged tracknumber '0411' is displayed as "155" (see attached screenshots) which also results in a wrong sequence tracks are played within a album.

Is there a way to make Kodi receive and display all 4 (or more) digits of the tracknumber correctly? Thanks in advance for your informations and kind regards!

QNAP TS-219PP
QTS 4.1.2
Twonky Server 8.0.2
Kodi 14.2-RC1

To check if twonky is at fault, you should try using a different UPNP app to check if it can read the 4 digit tracks. iTunes does not allow track numbers to be longer than 3 digits, kodi accessing a local file shows 4 digits correctly (just checked).

Maybe it is better to access the QNAP as a file server (SMB/NFS) and let Kodi scan the tags to its own library. That way you get more flexibility on the Kodi device. If you use multiple Kodi's, setup a central MySQL database on your QNAP and point your Kodi installations there.
