Hi,
I have the following setup :
1 Windows 8.1 where the video/music library is located in shared folders(with password). All metadata is generated by tinyMediaManager before Kodi on the clients starts, this should mean that kodi uses the already in place metadata instead of fetching from internet.
2 Intel Nuc with Windows 7 and 8.1 where Kodi(14.2 Helix).
I need to connect these 2 clients so the watched and resume is the same on both, this can be done with a MySQL database. I already have a MySQL server installed on my Windows 8.1 "server" and a special user for kodi to use.
I have taken the following steps as described in the MySQL guide here
1. In Kodi go to Settings -> Videos -> Library and select Export library. Various pop-up windows will show up:
2. Say "multiple files" when asked how you would like to export.
3. Say "Yes" when asked about exporting thumbnails and fanart.
4. Say "Yes" when asked about actor thumbnails. [1]
5. Say "Yes" when asked if you want to overwrite old files.
This takes a while and then I inspect the XML from a nfo at my Windows 8.1 "server". The problem is that the watched tag is missing from both wathed and not wathed videos?
I have checked that the user for kodi in the Windows network have read/write permissions on the folders and I have also checked that the files and folders are not write protected.
This is a show stopper for me, there is no way I will manually set all the watched flags again.
Could the problem be that the nfo files are already existing(created from tinyMediaManager)?
