thanks a lot!!

Belive it or not, the XMBC 12.2 on my old HP5000, running XP SP3 Pentium4 2gb ram is not only working in all respects, but much faster and more efficient than the Helix 14.1 running on a Toshiba Satellite C55a N2850 duo core 4 gb ram fully updated Win8.1

A hitch on both versions is exit. In most cases I have to use ctl+alt+delete , and sometimes, it keeps on "working" forever, trying to find a live station, and the only way to stop the "working process" is to exit again, by ctl+alt+del

The pvr simple client is very unstable on my Helix12.1 or 12.2!!!!,

OpenELEC (wiki) is a linux based version of Kodi 14.2 which might run well on your old HP5000.

I dont know if you're stuck with Windows on it for other reasons...
