NAS Selection

I'm currently using a Buffalo Linkstation ~5TB RAID configured for my network storage. I'm getting close to capacity and will need to expand. What does the community recommend from my options;
Picking up another "low" cost RAID NAS and split my library TV and Movie between the two.
Picking up a LARGE RAID Configuration NAS >10 TB.

Which hardware models does everyone recommend? I like remote access and would love ftp built into the NAS OS. Thanks Kodi Krew!

I would personally suggest a QNAP based solution, namely a TS-4xx (based on your performance ideas) with 6TB WD NAS Drives, for a total of 18TB:

I'm using a similar setup (with older hardware) and it works flawlessly

The TS-669 is on sale for 449.99 from newegg http://flash.newegg.com/Product/N82E16822107111

There was a 50 dollar off coupon yesterday for it which would have brought it to 399

This thing looks GREAT! I chatted with QNAP sales support for one of the functions I need that wasn't highlighted on the site which is the support for MySQL which they do support. Looks like we are a go!

Where you able to get in on it before it sold out?

Yes, there is MySQL Support - just a small warning, currently (until the Release of QTS 4.2.0) it is MySQL 5.1, which is quite old - it works for KODI, just wanted to make sure you know.
