So, I'm looking for everyone's feedback on what they think the best extender for Kodi is. I'm considering a lot of different options as I'm moving away from WMC. I've built an Intel i3 NUC with 8GB of RAM and 128GB SSD (cost me around $350 or so) which seems a bit steep but I also want a bit of future proofing. That said, I don't know if an i3 NUC can do 4k.

Other possible options are the Intel Computer Stick;

that I would add a USB Ethernet port to;

So total cost of that one would be around $163.

Or I could do an amazon fire TV for $99.

Possible an Amazon Fire Stick....

Or even a Raspberry Pi2.

So, what do you use, do you like it, why do you like it, cost, etc?

Future proofing is hard to predict currently when it comes to 4K. Some people can play some 4K with Chromebox, check the link provided by mefree98 and other threads which mention 4K.

My .02, go as cheap as you can for your current requirements. That way you wont feel as bad when upgrade time comes around.
