Writing NFO failed
#1
Hello,

i always get with TinyMediaManager the error message, that the media is write protected (Writing NFO failed), but this can not be true, because it works with MediaElch and Ember.

I'd love to switch to TinyMediaManager , but it must also work. So, how can i fix this?

(My series and movies comes from a NAS System.)

.. sorry for my bad english

tmm (and Java beneath it) use system operations to write files. EMM and MediaElch also use that, so there must be a difference in the setup.

do you start EMM/MediaElch as administrator? (very bad to do so Tongue)
can you edit an existing NFO from the share with the same user which starts tmm?

you could also send a bug report via the built in bug reporting system (but i suppose the logs wont say more than "unable to write"...)
