Req write mp3 ratings back to file
#1
Please let Kodi/(XBMC) write "Songratings" back to the mp3 File (ID3-Tag)

Once your Library is gone, then your ratings are gone and houers of "rating"-work is gone!
So would be verry handy if Kodi/(XBMC) could write back the ratings to the ID3-TAG (not shure if a export would help there, but to be honest, who does an export of his Musiclibrary every weak?)
+ How it is today your not able to share the the ratings with other Player-softwhare.

There are already sevaral Treads out there who "requested" this feature
see Here for example:

(just Links from a quick search i did)

as i couldnt finde a real "feature request" i decide to open this one.

I've been wanting this for a long time as well, primarily to keep ratings synced between different software - though this is not really possible as long as Kodi uses 0-5 / full-star ratings rather than 0-10 / half-star ratings, which most other software uses.

Currently Kodi never writes/changes your music source files (like .mp3)
And i don't think it should be default, but it would be nice if Kodi would write ID3 tags if the user enabled this in the settings.

+1 for the idea.

I don't use the music rating now because it's a hassle to get it right.
This feature would help.

Could you elaborate on what the purpose of this would be? Some usecases? People tend to rely on ratings scraped from imdb or rottentamatoes rather than rating them themselves and Kodi doesn't even support reading such metadata from videos, and I don't really know any other clients that does either.

IF nobody starts with writing Metadata into movies there will also never be a tool ho could use it.

My researching only get these tool here with support for movies:

Writing information into Files could help to get the *.nfo files unneeded.
