Is there any suggestion of playing back 4k/hd audio pass through?
Hi ,

I've tested the amazon fire tv, raspberry pi 2 with kodi/open elec / osmc for 1080p play back , It's not perfect to pass through the hd audio to the receiver .
And my samsung 4k tv(8800) embedded system can play regular 4K/60P but many formats are not supported.

Is there any hardware can meet :
1. HDMI 2.0 with 4K/3D/60p
2. HD Audio pass through (DTS HD MA. Dolby TrueHD, Atmos)
3. Hevc, 10bit decode @ 4k/60p

Any suggestion will be appreciated .

Honestly finding a box that can do all that with only 1080p seems to be a tough find..

You probably need to wait around 6-months or so until newer devices with the next-generation SoC chipsets become available.

You can follow news about next-generation SoC chipsets on http://www.cnx-software.com

Alternative is to build your own HTPC using one of the newer Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or GTX 980 cards which have HDMI 2.0

Also I don't think that exiting distributions such as OpenELEC support hardware decoding at those resolutions and refrsh rates.
