im not sure if this has been posted already, i looked and found nothing, unfortunately.

is there any way that you can redirect the video cache file from the userdate file to an external hard drive so
the kodi doesnt use your computers internal space?

ive tried everything and still no results.
if you guys have any ideas or answers, itd be greatly appreciated.

I've had sucess with thumbnails using Pathsubstitution http://kodi.wiki/view/Pathsubstitution, not sure how far you can push this, but it's the thumbnails that take the largest part. You might investigate how Rasp Pi and Android systems save space. IF you find your library getting out of hand, check out a textures cleaner.
