I've noticed that when using mythtv or vlc to watch videos I can play back faster than real time. If kodi has this feature when playing recordings I haven't found it. Therefore I suggest it, unless it exists somewhere in the wild wild wiki and I missed it.

Thanks uNiversal, that thread was useful and didn't turn up when I did my search foo.
FishOil -- I'd find "you'll get more answers if your post title has a description" more acceptable than "Fix your title, put a description in it" command. But my skins thick with old age so respond however you like.
