Unable to install most of the Addons.
#1
Hi,

Am facing an extremely weird situation. Am unable to install almost any of the add ons on my Kodi Installation.

I have koi installed on 2nd Partition on Mac mini 4,1 running Lubuntu 15.04. I do not have a Mac OS running on this machine.

When i try to install an addon Skins -> Xperience1080 -> Install it goes from 0-99 and then the progress indication just vanishes and i have try installing it again. Tried many more Skins with the same result.

I have reinstalled Kodi twice after purging the entire .kodi home folder to no avail.

The Log attached is after a fresh installation. Though after its first start i had to restart the machine again because no add ons were visible, so technically this is the second start.

Please do let me know what else i can do.

so there seems to be a broken userdata dir as well as network issues.
completely delete ~/.kodi and make sure the network is up

Thanks for looking into it. I did check that both the folders are available and have 777 access. As i said i did try twice after completely purging ~/.kodi and also tried apt-get remove --purge kodi and apt-get auto remove --purge. So removed /usr/lib/kodi as well.
And regarding Network, i was able to download a torrent at 2MB/s so network should not have been an issue.

Anyway formatted and reinstalling Lubuntu 15.04. Let me try again and report back.

Networking must be up before Kodi is started, Torrenting has nothing to do with Kodi, thus any networking operations outside kodi are not a good measure for determining if Networking is up before kodi starts.

Best way to determine this, is to restart kodi application after system has booted and all services loaded, without rebooting whole system and retrying.
