I want to use the cinema experience add-on for my sons 'movie night' with his friends.

My question is, is there a way to turn of the movie info text you see whenever you play a file?

I'm running Kodi14.1 on openelec.

What movie info text is that?

By default kodi does not display any text when starting a movie.

If you are talking about some feature of cinema experience, then there is a thread for that.

Thanks nickr you are absolutely right.

Your answer prompted me to think about it a different way. Its an option in the skin settings (show info for first few seconds). Sorted now.
