I had problems with Kodi CD Ripping and getting a CDDB socket error 3.

I run Peerguardian for Linux and needed to ad this ip as allowed. 195.214.216.38 which is the server ip for cddb lookup.

I still have one problem of the CD not ejecting automatically when done ripping.

Only that way, if you want it to survive reboots and udev upgrades.

And obviously you want kodi configured for that, the user running kodi part of necessary groups and the necessary pkla actions.
