Hi All,
just started playing with a Raspberry Pi (I was given 3 years ago) , with the intention of using it to replace my old network media player with XBMC (looks like an upgrade is needed ).
So far, it it a 100% replacement, so I am thrilled about that. However, with such a powerful piece of software, there is just one additional feature (which may already be there) which would help my wife, and hopefully others with visual impairment.
Is there a way to get XBMC/KODI to process a subtitle file (.srt ?) through a text-to-speech (TTS) engine, and stream the audio via a separate channel, so it could be heard *only* by one person (in a bluetooth headset) while the TV audio is the regular AV output.
The end goal being my wife could watch a subtitled show, have the subtitles read into her ear, while the rest of the family (me !) just hear the regular audio.
Given the size of the project I apologise in advance if there are a combination of add-ons which do this.
