Hi i'm new to pvr, after searching on forum and google i'm still lost.
I've understand that i need a

-cable provider service
i've take videotron.com with their PVR Samsung 8340 HD

-tv tuner card
are they all record 2 channel at same time or some record more or less?

-backend software like DVBViewer or MythTV
that it's what take the signal of the card and make it readable on pc ?
how to choose one they all look the same for me?

-frontend software
that it's kodi with the pvr addons right?

1. Service => IPTV, Cable, Satellite subscription, ...
   
2. Receiver Medium => internet, TV tuner card
   
3. PVR Backend => program that you install on your PC that received the service
