Hi All,
I have been a long time Kodi/XBMC user and first time dev. I have been watching this system grow for many years and i am finally excited to dive into developing an add-on for it.

I think i posted this in the proper location.

I know it is a large undertaking and I am stumbling my way through this project. I am in need of guidance or assistance.
I am limited on my knowledge of developing systems for Kodi but I have been able to reverse engineer a skin to make the video overlay. It still needs work but it is a starting point.



Things to make note of:
There will be no way for a user to interact with kodi.
Main video input will be from a video card input.
I will be using windows backbone but I would prefer linux


The Add-on:
Use a custom Video Overlay all the time.
Play Video from video card constantly with periodic interruptions. (Background Video)
Play Pandora constantly, start automatically on startup
Display what song is playing on Pandora on Video Overlay
At a certain time play a Video Clip from a predetermined playlist. Interrupt Background Video and Pause Pandora audio.
Display weather on Video Overlay.
Custom Scrolling text on Video Overlay. (RSS)
At a certain time display text on Video Overlay


Additional Features (Not needed but would like):
Allow web control of Pandora Station[/align]
Pop up with weather alerts or map of shitty weather.
At certain time interrupt Pandora and play custom audio file.
