Hi

I've never really used XBMC or Kodi on Windows PCs as I've always used Linux HTPCs for XBMC.

However I have just setup Kodi Helix 14.2 on my brothers Windows 8 laptop.

He has a Compro VideoMate K300 Windows Vista Remote Control RC6 and it has a USB IR receiver.

When in Kodi some buttons work OK like the directional arrows, OK, BACK etc, but the Green MCE button doesn't take you home, INFO button doesn't work and neither does the Guide button to bring up context menus.

I presume I need to copy a keymap XML file in to his userdata\keymaps folder

However looking in this folder I cannot see any keymaps for MCE remotes, closest is one for XBOX

C:\Program Files (x86)\Kodi\system\keymaps

Any Windows gurus point me in the right direction?

Also is it possible to have the Green MCE button launch Kodi? There is no Windows Media Center installed on this Windows 8 PC.

Try my Launcher4Kodi to start kodi with green button. Use mce mapper tool to edit remote control buttons.
