My mx3 box seems to freeze audio and scream a distorted sound during video playback after random amounts of time. This has happened on two separate mx3 boxes and have never seen this issue before on anything else. I have tried to run kodi and Spmc but same issue for both.

If anyone can help they would be great.

Could it be a overheating issue?

I have a CX-S806 with an S802 and am not experiencing similar issues, so it may be settings, firmware or hardware related... Sounds like something to check with manufacturer about if it has happened on multiple units. Does it happen with all media or with certain file types/hardware decoding or what? Have you tried various hardware decoding settings and does it do it with the same media through MXplayer, VLC, or similar apps? Sounds like it'd take a lot more detail to get you there...
