Using Kodi with an analog Dolby Pro Logic II system
#1
Hi,
I've got an ubuntu 14.04 machine with Xonar DX audio card installed. I want to use it as a mediacenter and play movies using my old technics sh-600.
It has Dolby Pro Logic certification and I want play films that have this cert, Which config would I apply to kodi? Using 5.0 channels I receive low volume on the technics.

Thanks

Check your alsavolume first.
Post a Debug Log

and so on - kodi does not alter the hw volume at all - it has sw volume. Depending on what you use, though (pulse, alsa).
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Dolby Pro Logic suggests that you need to set 2.0 speaker setup in Kodi...

Yeah :-) I want to see the Debug Log never the less, after having read about the 5.0 setup, I thought the OP is a bit confused - therefore let's see what he is doing on our side first.
