I am not sure whenever it is the right place, but the wiki recommend to post first on forum before report bug.
So the bug I have was already in 12, 13 and still on the 14.2 I am using.
It is about SFTP source adding, on non standard port (different than 22).
Log give something like;
23:00:28 T:3984 INFO: SFTPSession: Creating new session on host 'bob.org:12345' with user 'bob'
23:00:30 T:3984 ERROR: SFTPSession: Failed to connect 'Timeout connecting to bob.org'
23:00:30 T:3984 ERROR: SFTPSession: Not connected, can't list directory ''
23:00:30 T:3984 ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting sftp://USERNAME:[email protected]:12345/
I have to admit it happened to work 'some times' with 12, but it was really, but really random, and since 13 and 14.2 I was never able to make it work again. However the logs were always showing the same thing.
Tested systems have been Win7 x64 (2 totally different systems) and a Win8 x86.
The interesting point is that I can use this SFTP server both with my Android tab and smartphone, by entering exactly the same credentials. I even tried to copy source file xml from my smartphone and to use it in my WinPC and it gave the same error.
I forgot, with Debian, xbmc is able to scan sftp server.
So the problem is Win only, probably a called library?
